Editor in chief

Anthony Fawcett, a legendary art critic who began his career at Vogue at eighteen, has significantly influenced the art world. He brought Man Ray to London in 1969, collaborated with John Lennon and Yoko Ono on the “Acorn Event” and “Bag One – The Erotic Lithographs,” and worked closely with Andy Warhol and Charles Saatchi. Anthony also created the Beck’s Art Sponsorship Programme and Beck’s Futures, the UK’s largest artists’ prize.

Throughout his career, he has worked with and interviewed numerous iconic artists, including Francis Bacon, Andy Warhol, David Hockney, Jean Michel Basquiat, Cindy Sherman, Robert Mapplethorpe, Julian Schnabel, Gilbert & George, Vivienne Westwood, Keith Haring, Brian Eno, and Tracey Emin.

As the founder of Anthony Fawcett Consultants, he represented clients in award-winning art sponsorship programmes, including the Montblanc Arts & Business Award from Prince Charles and the Haagen-Dazs sponsorship of Damien Hirst’s “Some Went Mad, Some Ran Away” show. His other notable collaborations include Texaco, B.P., and Hugo Boss.

He served as a Trustee of the Whitechapel Art Gallery, a board member of the Rambert Dance Company, and currently sits on the Whitechapel Art Gallery Development Board.

As Global Art Curator for Vertu, he launched the Vertu Global Art Commission with Richard Wilson’s “Hold The Line” at The Saatchi Gallery and the Shanghai Gallery of Art. He is now working with Adrian Glew at Tate Gallery on the “Anthony Fawcett Archive.”
